President's Message

As 2025 draws to a close, it is worth reflecting on the many children whose educational opportunities we have improved this year and the amazing people who have made this possible.

This year, JCAS distributed over $910,000 (a record amount!) to fund teacher aides for 211 children across the 11 Melbourne Jewish day schools.  This support has life-changing benefits, not only for the children and their families, but for the broader school communities that embrace inclusion.

We are only able to provide this support because of the tireless work of Rosalie Silverstein OAM and her team at the iconic Posh Opp Shoppes, and because of the generous gifts from our incredible donors and sponsors. Thank you to all who have supported us so generously.

I would also thank the members of the JCAS board – a team of talented people of diverse experience, all of whom act on a voluntary basis to support children with extra needs in our community. It is my honour to lead such a fine group of people in furtherance of our mission of ‘Education. Inclusion. Belonging.’

We have exciting plans for 2026. Look out for our new billboard campaign and please do get involved in any way you can, whether as a donor or shopper at the Posh Opp Shoppes or by giving whatever you can towards our 2026 fundraising campaign.
